Vedanta Dictionary

Postby sundarchinmaya » Sat Jan 16, 2016 5:03 pm

Hari Om, all - I liked Swamiji's idea of developing a Vedanta dictionary. I have created a Google sheet that anyone with the link can access. There are notes at the top as well. If your notes show definitions not in the list, please reply to this thread and I am happy to update. Of course, I am sure the Sanskrit experts here will help me correct the spelling / translation.

The link is: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1q52CDGEJDaVqcQ0grCThK_S2FarIDobdNp0UnT5Rxac

You might have to copy and paste the link from above and paste in your browser tab.
Look forward to your feedback.

Hari Om,
I can see only 16 Sanskrit terms on the spread sheet. Are there more pages? I am able to access only the first page.

Thank you
Regards
Sunitha

No, Sikha-ji, I will not of now. if there are terms that you believe will benefit this group of seekers, then please indicate and we can see how to bring it in.

We are not trying to create a comprehensive Vedantic concepts dictionary although that would be a wonderful project as well.

Wanted to share an existing web resource (dictionary of philosophical terms) approx 2500 terms. It could be a good starting point. Of course there is greater clarity in the way Swamiji is teaching us.

The PDF file can be downloaded here: http://cincinnatitemple.com/articles/Dictionary-of-Indian-Philosophy-Sanskrit-Terms-Defined-in-English.pdf
